Wonderful old hotel, the staff were all excellent and respectful and the location was favourable in the former city hall. Location: the property was so close to the centre of town, bars, shops, bus and train station, and Hradec Kralove-THE place to stay. Had nice dainties at Jordi's Chocolate, located walking distance from the hotel.

I had a quick one night stay for work at Okresni Dum and I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff and the nice breakfast provided. The hotel is conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from the main square and was quiet at night.

Although the room decor could have been better, it was still comfortable enough for a short stay. The absence of a shower and the unreliable WiFi signal were a bit inconvenient for a business traveler like myself.

The location is also great, being close to the river and not too far from the central area. Lastly, the breakfast provided was decent and satisfying.

Although my experience at the hotel was largely positive, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The bathroom shower was not up to par, lacking a handle hanger for convenience.

my stay in hradec kralove was extraordinary thanks to okresni dum. the deluxe suite exceeded my expectations with its spaciousness and regal feel. the hotel is like a well-preserved museum from the 1920s, with charming decor and excellent service. definitely worth visiting!

Felt extremely safe, no reason to complain.

The hotel's architecture was quite a sight, with its beautiful Art Nouveau style and modern furniture that blended so harmoniously. Not to mention the giant freshwater aquarium with a rainforest inside - a truly unique experience.

Who needs good lighting when you can explore a dark and freaky spiral staircase to find your room? And don't worry about privacy - the bathroom door opens both ways!
